The Town of Brigus

Cupids
Just a 10 minute drive from Clarke’s Beach will take you to the historic settlement of Cupids. Home of the Cupids Legacy Centre, you’ll have plenty to discover as you explore the first English settlement in Canada. Settled by John Guy, a British merchant from Bristol, England and thirty-nine Planters in 1610, Cupids offers scenic views, The Perchance Theatre showcasing Shakespearian plays and an Annual Soiree (Newfoundland saying for big party!) as well as shops and restaurants for your entertainment and enjoyment.
Conception Bay North (CBN)
Bay Roberts meets all your needs, from groceries to more of those amazing music and cultural festivals the region is famous for. Further along the CBN Highway you'll find Spaniards Bay famous for its 565 million year old fossil find and the protected Shearstown Estuary, a 'Birders Paradise.'
Of course, there is plenty of entertainment and restaurant options as well as activities for the children in Carbonear, Harbour Grace and many other towns in the area. Everything you need to enjoy an active lifestyle can be found in the CBN region. A leisurely and scenic drive of the CBN Highway leads you to Salmon Cove, Northern Bay Sands, Upper Island Cove and many other adorable towns and villages.
